Adventurers Unite
With 200 + exhibitors and over 20000 people coming through the doors in 2 days, The National Outdoor Expo in Birmingham made for an exciting coming together of all sorts of adventuring types!
Young and old, timid and bold… we chatted to as many people as we were physically able to. We were utterly exhausted at the end of it all, but came away with new friends, expo experience under our belt, and tons of inspiration for our next adventure!
Our first outdoor Expo
Having only attended expos as a customer before, we had no idea of the magnitude of interactions we would be dealing with, or the massive prep that goes into being a part of something like this.
Luckily, we had great support and the following:
✅ a plan of action in place for how we were setting up our stand
✅ a script outline of what we would be talking to potential customers about
✅ sample products to show people how amazing our products are
✅ and, a great lucky draw hamper prize to be won
There is nothing we don’t plan, or do with purpose. We are a meticulous bunch, especially when it comes to our products and their ingredients, and that translates across into other areas. We wanted the perfect elements at our stand to be able to give potential customers a full Intrepid Explorer experience and show them the magic and potential of our products.
Let’s just say we had a couple of jaws drop to the floor when they saw how, far less than a half a teaspoon, of hair and body wash powder went on a mini scrunchy. We had foam for days!

With so many great products out there, why choose our outdoors essentials? Well, there are quite a few reasons actually. Let’s break down our hair and body wash and show you:

Our Price-point
The first thing potential customers asked us at the expo was, “how much does it cost”? Let’s not lie, this is the first thing we as consumers do. We look at price, and we look at quantity. We think bigger is better because we have been programmed that bulk is value.
Welcome to 2023 where bigger is not better, but less is actually more!
Once we showed potential customers how our products work, and let them test it out, we asked them what they would expect to pay for a product like ours. The answers surprised us as people were either on the money and guessed correctly, or actually gave higher figures than what we charge. That’s because they saw and felt the quality of the ingredients.
We only use high-end and quality ingredients, and that in our world costs a bit more. But, when you compare our cost and how long our products last compared to buying 4 products, it’s a no brainer! We come out on top!
This means that you are saving money, saving space in your bag, and saving the planet! What could be better?

Walking away from this amazing experience and seeing how people reacted to our products we knew we needed to get to some more on the ground events and keep showing our magical products to our fellow adventurers.
So, we have now lined up 5 more outdoor events that we will be exhibiting at, including and first up, the upcoming Spring Wolf Run in Warwickshire in April.
